Frequently Asked questions

Our indoor track season begins in September and ends in February. Our outdoor track season begins in May and, depending on what qualification standards are met by the athlete, ends with the USATF Junior Olympics around the last week of July. 

CATs practices are located in Wylie, TX at Wylie East facilities and/or parks including Burnett Jr High and Wylie East HS fields. The practice location will be communicated via GroupMe.

 

Practice days are typically Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Sometimes there are Saturday and Sunday practices, as needed–this will be communicated via GroupMe.
The athlete must wear training flats, athletic tights/shorts, and a t-shirt or athletic shirt for practice. Also, they are expected to ALWAYS bring a bottle filled with ice water, track spikes or specialty spikes, and a great attitude. During the cold months, ALWAYS have long sleeves and pants.
Often the timing of the weather is unpredictable. In the event of a cancellation, the athlete will receive a message via GroupMe. We practice and compete in the rain. Practice is cancelled when conditions are dangerous due to flooding, lightning and bad storms or cancellations by the facility management.
If problems arise (if a team member has to miss a practice or a meet, questions about not being entered into a meet, requests to try a different event, etc.), we ask that the ATHLETE speak with a COACH. Athletes must communicate to their coach as soon as possible if they cannot participate in a meet or practice that is on the schedule.
Grades 7 and up (including post-collegiate). We currently train sprinters, hurdlers, mid-distance, long jump, triple, jump, and high jump ONLY.
  • May-July is Summer Track Club
  • Hurdle Kiddy Cats (Developmental/Beginner) 1 group hurdle sessions per week on Mondays
  • Hurdle Big Cats (Returning/Elite) 2 group hurdle sessions per week on Tuesday and Saturdays
  • Private Training (up to 1h 30m) for speed, hurdles, strength, agility **scheduled in advance with Coach Jenn

 

Yes. You will need to reach out to Coach Jenn regarding a payment plan options. Currently payment options are Venmo, Paypal, CashApp, Zelle, or Cash.
No. We currently do not offer a discount on pricing. Our coaches are either former collegiate athletes or have been in the coaching profession for numerous years. Please respect the training prices as they are set very fair with the training market. Our coaches are not in it for the money. They truly love what they do!
